Futbol Brings Hartford Fans and Communities Together

The Hartford Athletic hosted the Puerto Rican national team Saturday, winning their first international friendly 5-1.

The Hartford Courant’s Shawn McFarland reports “Locked in a stalemate with the Puerto Rican national soccer team on Saturday at Dillon Stadium, offensive reinforcements for Hartford Athletic came in the form of Jose Angulo, Mads Jorgensen, Sebastian Dalgaard and Danny Barrera, a quartet that accounted for four second-half goals to help Hartford to a 5-1 win in the international friendly.”

According to the Hartford Athletic, 4,685 fans packed Dillon Stadium in Hartford to raise money for hurricane relief efforts.
