Young New Britain Latina Wins Spot On National Team

New Britain native Ceana Rodriguez, who represented Connecticut in the 2015 USA Taekwondo National Championships recently has earned a spot on the USA Taekwondo  and American Taekwondo United team. .

Rodriguez, who had already won the ATU Taekwondo National Championships  and  AAU Taekwondo National Championships on July 2nd, winning gold in both events, traveled to Austin, Texas to fight to win in the national competition.
In  winning the AAU Taekwondo National Championships, Ceana became a six-time AAU Taekwondo National Champion,  by winning the USAT Taekwondo National Championships.

Rodriguez has become a member of Team USA and will be traveling with Untied States national team to represent the United States in 2015 Pam American Junior Championships in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

Ceana will now travel to South Korea this month to represent the United States in the Korea Open International Taekwondo Championships.

Ceana is the only Taekwondo athlete in the history of the state of Connecticut to win the AAU, USAT, ATU Taekwondo National Championships in the same year.
