WALLINGFORD — Olivier Salamanca and Veronica Barragán run a successful flower supply business in town, Vosz Floral, and Barragán also works as a radio host for Viva! Radio, a Latino station based in Newington.

The couple met in Ecuador 17 years ago. Salamanca has been in the flower business for 25 years. Barragán worked in radio for 20 years.

Salamanca and Barragán moved to the United States in 2017 with a tourist and business visa and soon obtained an investor visa, which allowed them to build their flower supply  business.

Among the flowers being distributed to flower shops across Connecticut are roses from their native Ecuador.

Barragán put together a home studio in order to continue to broadcast for stations in Ecuador before starting to work for Viva! Radio.

The couple explained that although they have been successful, moving was challenging for the family.
