CTLatinoNews.com is pleased to welcome the The Norwalk Hour as our newest media partner. As partners, we will share content with them, which The Hour may carry in print and on their online news site. We appreciate the newspaper’s Managing Editor Jerrod Ferrari words stating that since our news site launched in July we’ve really hit on some key issues. He views the partnership as a win for the readers.
The Norwalk Hour is CTLatinoNews.com’s 10th media partner. They join CTMirror.org, Capitol Report.com, CT Health Investigative Team, New Britain Herald, Bristol Press, NPR, NBC CT, and two national sites – Hispanic Link and Latina Lista.
CTLatinoNews.com publisher Diane Alverio said, “CTLatinoNews.com was created to provide more extensive coverage of Latinos in our state by a news source that provides quality, diverse and non-partisan news and information. Recognition of our work by the Norwalk Hour and our other partners is most gratifying.” Since CTLatinoNews.com launched last year, our team of reporters and columnists have produced more than 500 stories that touch upon political, education, health and economic issues that impact the state’s nearly 500,000 Latinos.
She added, “Our partnerships with other media outlets allows our news coverage to reach more readers, viewers and listeners throughout the state and provides them with a service that expands their coverage.”
According to the 2010 U.S. Census Bureau Norwalk’s population is nearly 25% Latino.
