Latinos spice up Travelers, on and off the course.
The 2015 Travelers Championship had a Latino flair this year, and Leslie Cartaya was not the only Latino spicing up the Travelers Championship.
One of the more celebrated foursomes of the 2015 Travelers Championship Celebrity Pro Am featured actor comedian George Lopez and the first-season Winner of “The Voice” Javiar Colon. The third celebrity in the group was UConn Coach Geno Auriemma.
“I had such a great time playing in the Travelers Championship Pro-Am with PGA TOUR Pro Kevin Streelman, George Lopez and Geno Auriemma, said Colon.  ” Such great guys to spend a day with. My game wasn’t at its best, but I still had a blast watching Kevin and Geno hit the ball so well, and I laughed all day thanks to George. ”
Like Leslie Cartaya, Javiar also has a new album coming out — “Gravity”— which will be released in early September.
And on the first day of play, Andres Romero of Tucuman, Argentina had a hole in one on #16, which really sums up how the Latinos helped ace this year’s Travelers Championship.
