On January 20th, the Connecticut Immigrant Rights Alliance (CIRA) will join hundreds in a show of unity and resistance to the inauguration of Mr. Trump, calling on legislators to #ResistTrump and his assault on civil liberties and agenda of greed and hate.

OVERVIEW: Community members will gather and demonstrate at Hartford City Hall at 4:00pm, and subsequently march to the Ribicoff Federal Building, which houses Connecticut’s immigration court and an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) offices, for a rally. A community event will follow at 6:00pm in the Center for Latino Progress.
WHY: Mr. Trump’s own statements and recent cabinet nominations demonstrate the direct hostility of this incoming administration towards people of color, immigrants, the LGBTQ community, the Muslim community, workers, and all who have been marginalized and terrorized in the United States.
