Peru has recently won once again the award for Best Culinary Destination at the international gala of the 25th edition of the World Travel Awards, for the seventh consecutive year.
“The gala, which took place in Portugal, became red and white since Peru not only won the prize for the best culinary destination but expert critics and international tourists chose Machu Picchu as the Best Tourist Attraction”, Perú 21 reported.
Another award won this year was the Best Cultural Destination, thanks to the country’s cultural heritage, its galleries and museums open to the public, informed the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (Promperú).
The World Travel Awards gala, considered the “Oscars of Tourism”, according to the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal, took place in the Patio da Galé in Lisbon (Portugal)…
